Four out of five provinces in Northern Mindanao are now developing their local revenue base with their respective locally sourced income (LSI) accounting for more than 15% of their regular income in 2013 based on the latest Tax Watch ad by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) released Wednesday, June 18.
Misamis Oriental (17.0%), Misamis Occidental (18.1%), Bukidnon (18.8%) and Lanao del Norte (20.4%) are among 24 out of the country’s 80 provinces whose LSI account more than 15% of their regular income in 2013.
