Do you know that aside from the “Siete de Abril” and Sendong Memorial, there is another marker at Gaston Park?
On the southern periphery of the park is this commemorative marker stating the donation of a group “Cagayanons of America, Southern California Chapter”. It has remained unrecognizable for several years because it is hidden among the thick bushes and behind the old circumferential fence. The redevelopment of the park is now nearing completion and the removal of said structures just exposed this marker.
Clearly, the donation could have been made for the beautification of the park sometime in 1998 as indicated in the date.
