According to Cagayan de Oro City Tourism Officer Elmer Wabe, the average number of rafters on weekends is about 200-500 guests.
This despite the city’s whitewater rafting industry suffered three major setbacks – (1) Sendong, (2) Pablo and (3) Transfer of airport to Laguindingan. But still, tourists still prefer to go back to the city’s 16-kilometer, 21 rapids splashing adventure.
