After the unfortunate incident at Rosario Strip in Limketkai Center in July 2013, the city’s night owls looked for alternate sites to unwind and experience the city’s night life.
Corrales Avenue was already an emerging night spot in Cagayan de Oro City before but right after that bombing incident, the area’s party activities significantly increased. New establishments have opened while others made some improvements. One thing which makes Corrales Avenue tick is that it’s affordable, it’s fun and relatively close by and very much accessible.
Lokal Grill & Seafood (shown below) probably is the biggest in size after doing away with the parking area and enclosed the site for open air area.
LED KTV Bar is the newest hip bar in town. Formerly a large warehouse, this is located beside Bombo Radyo.
Watever KTV – a top videoke center with plenty of rooms to sing your hearts out. This is just below Lokal Grill.
Big Flat Bread (BFB) – not just a pizza house but extends beyond pizza at night and shares the place with Lokal Grill.
Punchbowl Music & Booze – booze and live band. Listen to the city’s top rock and alternative bands and some surprise guests.
VM Eclipse Restobar – Located along Ramon Chaves Street just a few meters from Corrales Avenue. This is where famous “rap battles” are held.
Yuri’s Café – it started the new look of Corrales Avenue. Good food and ambiance with pretty waitresses and acoustic music is just about a good night fun. Even Miles of Smiles Kyle Jennerman dropped by at Yuri’s.
Cham’s – 24-hour convenience store but serves drinks and snacks at night. This Cagayan de Oro’s version of 7-11. This is just across LED KTV.
Happy Tee – another 24-hour convenience store that transforms into a night spot. This is just across Lokal Grill.
Gamba-Bratt Bird-Hogar – collectively known as Consuelo’s and later as Karomata. This three small bars don’t have boundaries and fun well extends beyond the three bars.
