Many travelers bound to Cagayan de Oro particularly those from Cebu and vice versa have opted to travel by boat as there seems to be no assurance on the scheduled flights at Laguindingan Airport.
With overcast clouds covering the entire province, the absence of navigational aids at the airport prompted cancellations of many flights since last week. Last weekend was Sinulog in Cebu and many Kagay-anons were stranded in Cebu due to flight cancellations. After PAG-ASA lifted all storm warning signals, sea travel was the viable option for those on vacation in Cebu in going to Cagayan de Oro.
