The municipal government of Opol is now undertaking steps to further improve its coastal boulevard to attract more tourists.
Screenshot from Mindanao Daily News’ online edition showed Opol Mayor Max Seno showing the perspective of his FOOD CENTER PROJECT along the boulevard. Read more HERE. Mayor Seno also disclosed that an investor is eyeing to put up a beach resort with water park along the new Igpit-Barra Road – this is a section of 3rd Bridge Access Road. If I’m not mistaken, this was featured in this blog sometime in 2012 – LINK.
This boulevard is best known for its seafood delicacies with popular restaurants like Panagatan, Seablings and the old Tabing Dagat. Just beside Seablings is this ongoing construction as shown below. There are no billboards onsite but maybe this is another investment to further spice up this strip.
Opol is right next to Cagayan de Oro City going west and most Kagay-anons prefer to dine at its seaside restaurants or take a dip in one of their beaches.
