Amid numerous complaints and losses of business activities brought about by flight cancellations at Laguindingan Airport, the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Oro Chamber) has urged the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) to speed up the installation of air navigation equipment and runway lighting facilities at the said airport.

Oro Chamber President Efren Uy said that if the government can not address this problem the soonest then they might as well re-open Lumbia Airport.
