Kenyans dominated the 2nd Prycegas International Marathon held last December 15, 2013 in Cagayan de Oro City.
Jackson Chirchir finished first in the 42-kilometer race with a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 27 seconds while fellow Kenyans David Kipsang and Julius Kimuge placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The Kenya’s might in long distance running clearly showed as the top 11 finishers were from Kenya. In the distaff side, Margaret Nuiguna also of Kenya was the top finisher.
In the 21K race, Rafael Poliguit Jr. and Mary Joy Tabal were the top finishers for men and women, respectively.
The race started at Cagayan de Oro Gardens at Lumbia with turning points at Lapasan (for 21k) and at Agusan (for 42k). See race map below.
