A little over three years ago, businessman Frumencio Lao submitted his proposal to the city to establish a floating restaurant along Cagayan de Oro River and it was posted in this blog HERE.
But after a series of natural calamities affecting the city’s riverside areas, everyone was convinced that the project will not be realized. But not Mr. Lao…as shown, he really pursued his project and just recently his Riverside Floating Restaurant had its soft opening. The restaurant management is still finalizing its menu as well as other suppliers.
The restaurant is at the end of Toribio Chaves Street near City Hall. The old proposal was a much larger 3-level diner on top of a catamaran. But perhaps due to the recent calamities, the design was made simpler but still offers a view of the river.
I guess the one who made this small billboard failed in spelling.
The restaurant is a good venue to unwind after a stressful day.
Below is their sample menu…accordingly, they’re still finalizing their menu and will be releasing a fresh new menu when they will have the grand opening set in January 2014.
