Cagayan de Oro City is now an alert (Storm Signal No. 1) after weather forecasts showed the city is along the projected path of Tropical Depression “Zoraida”.
As shown below, at 4:oopm today, November 11, 2013, TD Zoraida was located at 634 km Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Clearly, if you know geography and you know how to interpolate, the west northwest-moving weather condition could be in the city tomorrow afternoon. Winds are not a problem but the rainfall could affect the major rivers in the city since Bukidnon, where the headwaters of our rivers originate, is under Storm Signal No. 1.
