Ateneo center John Paul Erram was the highest drafted player from Cagayan de Oro in yesterday’s Annual PBA draft after he was picked by Talk ‘N Text in the 2nd round reuniting him with his former coach Norman Black.
The 6’7 Erram played briefly for Xavier University before being recruited to play for the Loyola squad. Meanwhile, Carlo Lastimosa became the second Lastimosa to enter the country’s premier basketball league going to Barako Bull as the 10th pick in the 2nd round considered the steal in the draft.
Other Cagayan de Oro players also got drafted as Sam Joseph Marata went to Petron (5th in the 3rd round) and JR Cawaling to San Mig Coffee (10th pick in 3rd round).
