Here are more photos taken in early October 2013 of the carcass of a sperm whale which beached along the coast of the fishing town of Kinoguitan in Misamis Oriental, Philippines.

As shown, the dead mammal got trapped along the rock armor coastline making it difficult for the carcass to be retrieved and buried.

You could see some wounds on the sperm whale’s body.

I’m no biologist and I don’t if these markings are natural or as a result of whale hunting.

The ropes you see were used by locals in trying in vain to pull the carcass.

It’s been three weeks now. I don’t what’s the status of this whale…but perhaps, they have already buried it.
