Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan recently won the 2013 Business Idea and Development Award (BIDA) in the Technology Category held last October 2-4, 2013 at Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

XU’s “Pinoy Fitness Co.” beat Centro Escolar University’s “Integrated and Reloadable Smart Card” (2nd place) and Our Lady of Fatima University’s “Housing Opportunity for Urban Settlers Endeavor” (3rd place) in the Technology Category of the 7th edition of BIDA. The winning XU team is composed of Jemerson Guinto, Joan Allene Cavalida, David Emmanuel Piol, Mary Fibeth Calunia, and Elijah Dan Seballos.

Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan also made it as a finalist in the Food Category with its “Scotch Bites: Choco Butterscotch with Malunggay”. Team Scotch Bites include Gestine Flores, Gospel Shean Zablan, Jinnan Banding, Caroline Go, and Tovya Bravo.




The Business Idea and Development Award or BIDA, was conceptualized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry to bring out the entrepreneurial spirit and creativeness of students.
