Here’s a rare night shot of Lapasan Highway taken from Limketkai Gateway Tower.
This is the 3rd traffic light intersection in the city coming from the east (1st at Gusa-Galaxy Jct.; 2nd at Eastbound Terminal Jct.). For the past several years, Lapasan has been and is still the clear example of the city’s rapid urbanization and expansion. In the late 80s and early 90s, Lapasan was just a suburb of Cagayan de Oro City. Decades later, it is now considered part of the city downtown area. Teeming with business establishments on both sides of the highway, the city’s economic growth is best felt as one approaches Lapasan coming from the east.
