Asia United Bank (AUB) just opened their second branch in Cagayan de Oro City.
The new branch is at the ground floor of the still unfinished 4-storey commercial building at the corner of Apolinar Velez and Antonio Luna Streets in downtown Cagayan de Oro. It seems AUB just couldn’t wait to do business in this part of the city with exterior works still ongoing in the upper floors as shown. This just shows their strong confidence and interest in the city’s banking industry. AUB is small compared to other banking institutions like Metrobank, Banco de Oro, BPI, etc… but its investment in the city is notable. Here’s a hint, one of AUB’s major shareholders is Republic Biscuit Corporation (REBISCO), who has a multi-million factory investment in Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Insider info states that REBISCO is planning to transfer many of its affiliated factory operations in typhoon-ravished Luzon to Alae.
By the way, AUB’s first branch in the city is along CM Recto Avenue in Lapasan near Camp Alagar junction.
