The Department of Public & Highways (DPWH) is set to start their river dike project at Duaw Park after several sheet piles have been unloaded at the site.
Accordingly, the newly relocated globe lights will be affected including a large portion of the reclaimed area. LINK
The sheet piles will be driven through the riverbed.
DPWH will build a high retaining wall and the top portion will be a walkway.
Meanwhile, across the river, the river dike project seemed to have been temporarily ceased.
Children play and bath along the river without warning.
Perhaps both DPWH and the City Government could agree on something about Duaw Park development.
