Cagayan de Oro City is the most competitive city in the country according to the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) during the first Regional Competitiveness Summit held today, July 30, 2013 at Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City.
The competitiveness index covers 250 local government units across the country and provides a picture of how cities and municipalities in the Philippines are faring in terms of cost and ease of doing business. The rankings in the NCC’s Index are based on the following indicators: economic dynamism, government efficiency & infrastructure.
Based on initial info, the report names the Top 5 Competitive Cities are as follows:
1. Cagayan de Oro
3. San Fernando City, Pampanga
4. Butuan City
