The Golden Lady Mermaid, a statue donated by Norfolk City, Virginia, USA as a symbol of its sisterhood with Cagayan de Oro City was unveiled today at City Hall.

The statue actually arrived in the city last 2010 and was planned to be installed at the “Duaw Park” but did not materialize. With plans of the riverside park called “Duaw Park” now being revived, the Golden Lady Mermaid might just soon find its home in the city.
