Task Force Hapsay Parke Chair and City Administrator Roy Hilario P. Raagas calls for sobriety and understanding among vendors of the Nite Café and Nite Market at the Divisoria after City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno recently ordered the temporary suspension of its operation pending task force’s review on the ordinance and subsequent transfer to ensure its smooth and orderly implementation.

Mayor Moreno assures the affected vendors that they will be relocated to a better, safer, cleaner, and ideal place, citing proposals from two private local groups. However, he declined to divulge the name of the potential proponent and the proposed new location, saying that adequate drainage system, comfort rooms, stalls and other basic facilities would be in place first before the transfer.

The temporary suspension came amid public complaints that the Nite Café and Nite Market every Friday and Saturday nights caused monstrous traffic congestion, filthy, and unsanitary condition around Divisoria area.
