Athletics and taekwondo delivered golds for Northern Mindanao after 5 days as Northern Mindanao Regional Athletic Association (NMRAA) is now in 5th place in the ongoing Palarong Pambansa 2013 in Dumaguete City with 14 golds, 15 silvers and 15 bronzes.

John Ray Suaybaguio followed up his win on the 100 and 400-meter runs by ruling the 200-meter dash, his 3rd gold medal in the event. In Elementary Athletics Girls, Eloisa Luzon and Glaiza Salcedo followed up their 1-2 finish at the 100-meter with another 1-2 finish at the 200-meter dash. Taekwondo Elementary Boys produced two golds for NMRAA courtesy of William Angelo Abucay and Alfonz Rae Dionicio while Taekwondo Elementary Girls also got two golds from Mikaela Salonga and Akila Gabrielle Boloto.

In Archery Secondary Boys, Froilan Cataluña bagged the gold in the Individual Olympic Round.

Princess Jan Draug won the gold Table Tennis Secondary Girls Individual Event.

Meanwhile, NMRAA remained undefeated in Elementary Boys Basketball after routing Cagayan Valley, 75-55. They earlier beat Cordillera (59-49), Mimaropa (44-25), and Zamboanga Peninsula (63-50).

NMRAA is also leading in Chess Elementary Boys with 8.5 points.

In Elementary Boxing, Mosquitoweight Wilmore Osing and Paperweight Ronilo Layasan Jr advanced to the semifinals.

In Elementary Football, NMRAA beat Southern Tagalog (4-1) and Zamboanga (3-0) to remain unbeaten.

NMRAA streaked to its 5th straight win in Elementary Sipa by beating CARAGA (2-1). They have beaten so far Cordillera (2-1), Western Visayas (2-0), Cagayan Valley (2-1) and Cotabato (2-0).

In Elementary Softball, NMRAA is likewise undefeated with 5 wins and no loss after beating Central Luzon (5-2), Cagayan Valley (3-0), Ilocos (1-0), Caraga (21-1), and Davao (6-1).

In Volleyball Secondary Girls, NMRAA advanced to the semifinals after beating Davao, 2-1.
