A lot of questions are asked about transportation services for Laguindingan Airport. Here are the transportation requirements as revealed which includes airport metered taxis, utility vans/multicab aircon, tourist transport, and AUV express services.
1. Airport Metered Taxi (Yellow Cab) – as shown, the route is from airport to any point in Northern Mindanao; 75 units are required; allowed to park inside airport taxi bay; higher flagged down rate than regular taxi
2. Multicab Aircon (Utility Van) – this will service passengers from the airport to the highway or Laguindingan proper; 50 units required; caters to passengers riding buses or public utility jeepneys; body paint displays tourist spots in region 10
3.Vehicles for Hire (VFH)/Rent-A-Car (RAC)/Tourist Transport – caters to tourist transport; 55 units required
4. AUV Express – fixed transport from airport to major cities (Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Malaybalay, Marawi); fixed rate per passenger
Now, hopefully, these transport services are in place in two weeks time…or on April 30, 2013 when the airport opens. If you’re into the trnasport business, you might as well inquire with LTFRB.
