Cagayan de Oro City has improved its ranking from 13th in 2010 to 10th place in 2011 among 106 cities in the Philippines based on locally generated income against the total operating income based on a report released by the Department of Finance-Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF).

As shown in scanned copy below, Cagayan de Oro got 49.1 percent of its income from local sources or P912,858,853 out of the city’s total operating income of P1,860,342,118 in 2011 for cities outside Metro Manila.
