Foundation works are now ongoing for Centrio Tower, Ayala Land’s first condominium project in Cagayan de Oro City.
As shown in the photos, quite a group of heavy equipment are onsite most notable are the four (4) cranes.
You can see numerous circular steel casings onsite which will be placed inside bored holes on the ground. Cement will this be poured into these casings which will become the building’s piles. This is referred to as the bored pile method which is most applicable in building construction in areas with limited spacings and will minimize the vibration impact on the immediate surroundings. The other method is driving the concrete pile into the ground but this will create more vibration on the adjacent buildings. Pile driving is more ideal when there is enough buffer space between the work site and the nearest building.

Makati Development Corp. has assumed the construction of Centrio Tower, taking over from DDT Konstract.
Expect the building to rise in the next few months as the foundation works are completed.
