A new and modern building for the Philippine Red Cross Misamis Oriental and Blood Bank will soon rise replacing the decades old building at the Capitol Compound in Cagayan de Oro City.
This project is long overdue as the city has become a regional health center, and much of the blood supply is taken from the said blood bank. As shown, the new building has 2 storeys with ample parking area for ambulance and emergency vehicles. Currently, blood donors queue inside the cramped space of the old Red Cross building. Designed by Architect Richard J. Tan, UAP, I believe this new building will have more space with much more modern facilities to analyze blood donors as well storage for donated blood.
