Cagayan de Oro City’s Lumbia Airport remains as the 5th busiest in the country according to 2011 statistics based on the 2012 Philippine Statistical Yearbook (unpublished).
As shown below, CDO together with Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport (Tacloban) are the only domestic airports in the top 10. In 2011, some 1,442,959 passengers passed through CDO’s airport outranking the international airports in Kalibo, Bacolod, Puerto Princesa and Zamboanga.

Expect passenger traffic to increase once Laguindingan Airport opens as it can accommodate wide bodied aircrafts and sooner, international flights.
