Perhaps as a measure against flooding of Limketkai Avenue, the management of Limketkai Complex has started elevating the road approaching the junction at CM Recto Avenue.
As shown, the slight elevation of the approach begins some 20 meters from CM Recto Avenue. They are now earth filling the site some three (3) feet high from the original level.
One lane of Limketkai Avenue’s northbound side is closed to traffic as shown.
Flooding along this road is caused by overflowing from Bitan-ag Creek which floods CM Recto and then enters Limketkai Avenue. I think the elevation will somehow prevent flood waters from CM Recto from entering Limketkai Avenue. I think after this one, they will elevate the other lanes as well. I don’t really know but it’s my assumption.

A hump/dike combo; makes sense. But I noticed that this area gets reconstructed every now and then. That means that they have new ideas every now and then aside from forsighted plans.
I noticed that, too. “Construct-guba-construct” ila drama. I don’t know exactly what they want to do in specific terms with the commercial complex kay di man jud sila ga share sa ila mga plans. I hope they would realize that publicity leads to drama, and drama breeds anticipation. Wish list ko lang is for them to actively share with their fans their plans for their loyal customers: tanan construction activites be covered with tarps, advertising forthcoming openings (and primarily to ward off pedestrians from perils of being hit by construction debris), and come up with exciting marketing campaigns that will surely cement their position as the leading shopping mecca in the region.
I admire Limketkai for their trees.
