At 12:00 noon today, December 4, 2012, the eye of Typhoon Pablo was located in the vicinity of Cagayan de Oro City (8.4°N 124.7°E).
This explains the brief absence of gust winds for a while and coupled by a heavy rainfall. However, expect gusty winds to return once the tail end of the storm passes the city. Based on the satellite imagery, the eye of the storm is passing the city through its southern part – or perhaps in Indahag, Taguanao and Lumbia areas.
Approximately 90% of the city is without power as strong winds caused swinging of power lines and toppled trees.
