The whole of Northern Mindanao including Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental are bracing for “Pablo” as the typhoon entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) early tonight, December 2, 2012.
Pagasa said typhoon Pablo, forecasted to be the most powerful storm to hit this year, has entered the Philippine area of responsibility at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. It was located 900 kilometers east of Hinatuan City, Surigao del Sur.
Shown below is the satellite image of Typhoon Pablo at 9:00 pm tonight located some 820 km Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Below is the forecasted track of PABLO. As shown in the map, Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental is located south of the main track of the storm’s eye but PABLO’s huge diameter (700 kilometers) will affect the entire region as it moves west northwest.
