Limketkai’s Gateway Tower has made it to the The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s exclusive list.
Shown below is the factsheet downloaded from CTBUH’s database HERE. Currently listed as Gateway Tower with other name as Hotel Limketkai Tower 2, the building will be 159.0 meters high with 36 floors and 220 hotel rooms. The building which is now under construction was initially known to have 33 floors.
CTBUH’s database for Philippines is found HERE. A portion of the list showing the Gateway Tower’s status is shown below. You can actually customize the list based on the criteria on building status at the top of the list. In my customized list, Limketkai’s Gateway Tower ranked 59th on status of Completed, Construction and Topped Out. There are still proposed tall buildings to be constructed which make the Gateway Tower ranked lower but my search is based on existing buildings and under construction as clearly defined in the list.

Briefly, building status is defined below.
Being a certified and truly recognized source of information globally, making such list is worth an achievement not just for the hotel building but for Cagayan de Oro City as well.
