Cagayan de Oro 1st District Congressman Benjo Benaldo and DPWH OIC District Engineer Bonifacio Lora led the groundbreaking for the P46 million flood control project along Cagayan de Oro River at Carmen side.
The project aims to raise the revetment height of the existing dike to further protect the properties on the western bank of the river. The project is set for completion in January 2013. Photos below show the ceremonial capsule laying and groundbreaking held beneath Ysalina Bridge at Carmen.
