Here are latest photos of the Lapasan-Gusa Section of the Coastal Superhighway.
As shown, the project is now at Gusa near the portion where the highway turns south connecting to the National Highway. The contractor is currently working on a bridge crossing a creek just beside the former Aguilar School Foundation. I don’t know if road concreting is part of the package for this phase. This project becomes critical when it reaches the residential area where the affected structures will have to be demolished. Hopefully, DPWH has completed negotiating for the road-right-of-way. Otherwise, this will drag on again. This highway is vital as it will decongest the existing highway particularly for trucks which are bound for the port.
To refresh your memory, see my post last year of the route HERE.
