The Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) has alloted P100 million this year for the continued construction of the Alae by-pass Road dubbed as “container highway” connecting Manolo Fortich town in Bukidnon and the industrial town of Tagoloan in Misamis Oriental, specifically the Mindanao Container Terminal.

As shown below in the latest progress report by DPWH as of April 30, 2012, the project is 20.7 percent completed. This phase of the highway was started last January 27, 2012 and programmed to be completed on September 30, 2012. The total cost is P1 billion.
