Most Reverend Patrick Cronin, SSC, D.D. was an Irish-born priest who succeeded Most Reverend James Hayes, S.J. D.D., as archbishop of Cagayan de Oro in 1970.

Born on November 30, 1913 in Moneygall, Ireland, Bishop Cronin was appointed as the second archbishop of Cagayan de Oro on October 13, 1970. Among his notable works was the establishment of the St. John Vianney Theological Seminary. He retired on January 5, 1988. He died on 19 February 1991 in Maria Reyna Hospital (now Maria Reyna Xavier University Hospital) at age 77.
