The modular steel components of the proposed JR Borja Bridge arrived last year and ready to be installed yet these bridge components have been in idle storage for several months now as shown above due to delays in the implementation.
Accordingly, the DPWH is having right-of-way problems on the western approach (Carmen side) of the Spain-funded bridge. The eastern approach (Burgos St.) reportedly have been taken cared of. See my post in October 10, 2011 HERE.
Still, we have no idea if there is progress on the negotiations on the affected households on the Carmen side. Otherwise, bridge construction should have commenced already.
