There’s no stopping the expansion works of Limketkai Mall. Shown above is hypermart building right beside Allied Bank.
You can clearly see the deep excavation at the center which will become the second underpass inside the 30-hectare complex. The hypermart will reportedly be located on the second floor. Also included is a 2-level parking building extending towards the creek and over the underpass.
Below shows the expansion of the East Concourse.
Photo below shows the soon to be new entrance of Parking Area D across Robinsons. In the background is a vehicular accident which occurred just a few minutes before.
The new parking area entrance above seemed to be connected to the on-going construction near the North Entrance. These are concrete columns of what seem to be like a covered walkway or skybridge.
Meanwhile, heavy equipment are still in the area of the rumored Fully Booked store.
By the way, all the cellular phone shops along the southeast section of the mall have been relocated at the second floor of Limketkai Gateway Tower fronting MUST. This is because Limketkai is also undergoing a major renovation of the said section, which I think is related to the ongoing expansion of the East Concourse.
The ceiling at the mall’s rotunda is now being covered.
Everyone is guessing what really happened to Plaza Fair. Accordingly, the lease contract has expired and LKK decided not to renew it. A new store is expected to occupy the space.
Outside the mall, earthfilling in the complex’s vacant areas is still ongoing. This one is just beside Natasha Building.
With all these construction work inside the complex which could be worth billions of pesos, Limketkai is primed to become the city’s main business district.
