Updates of previously posted construction projects in Cagayan de Oro City – No. 41 of the series and the first for the year 2012. First is the ongoing Demiren Hotel Expansion which was first posted last August 24, 2011 as shown above.
Based on the photos, 2 additional floors are being added. The vertical expansion has been focused on the main building while construction of the additional levels at the annex has just began. With ongoing conventions, seminars and other similar activities being held in the city, the need for more of these facilities is high in the city.
Next is the commercial building construction of Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School located along CM Recto Avenue fronting Licoan flyover. Previous update was last October 11, 2011. From the looks of it, the building will only have 4 levels or 2 floors short of the original plan. As shown, the flower floors are already occupied by lessees such as Prito Paborito, Gasera, RD Pawnshop, Radiant Smiles Dental Center and Queen Bank. The 3rd and 4th floors are still under construction. Ample parking space is also provided for the clients.
Below are updates of the ongoing construction along Velez Street right across Pelaez Sports Complex. Previous update was also last October 11, 2011. As observed, major renovation works were undertaken at the former Chevrolet showroom. Concreting works is underway. The new thin 5-storey building on the left is also nearing completion. Only the old Samsung office in between is idle.
My previous update on this commercial building below was last September 26, 2011. Located along Gaabucayan Street, work on the 3-storey building has and is now steadily rising as shown.
Here are updates of the 2-storey commercial building at the corner of Rizal and Toribio Chaves Streets. Previous update was last October 25, 2011. As shown, the building has taken shape already with the ground floor almost done. Construction of walls on the 2nd floor is ongoing.
This 2 level commercial near Kauswagan-Bonbon-Bayabas Junction is almost done. I first posted this project last September 26, 2011. As shown, metal claddings are installed on the top portion of the building’s facade. Only the signboards of the would-be tenants are missing.
The 3-storey mixed use building at the corner of 17th and 6th Streets in Nazareth has just been completed as shown. My previous update was last August 18, 2011. Some entities have already leased the ground floor. They still need to clean their frontage of some construction materials.
Lastly, this 4-storey dorm/pension house along Toms Saco Street is also nearing completion. My previous update was last October 11, 2011. Its proximity to Divisoria and other schools make it attractive to would be clients and customers.
There are still more of the previously posted construction projects but time is not on my side.
Just to note, Typhoon Sendong has spared the city’s business district.
