Passed by Tagoloan Bridge over the weekend. Local residents often refer to it as “the longest bridge in the world” because it took 3 Philippine presidents to complete it…(PNoy will be the 4th).

It was just this year that the parallel bridge was opened to the motoring public. Accordingly, right-of-way issues, funding and some politics caused the project to drag on… even one Japanese investor who happened to be at PHIVIDEC when the parallel bridge broke ground more than a decade ago, was surprised to learn that the bridge has not been opened yet during his return to PHIVIDEC.

Fortunately, the bridge has finally been utilized. I just don’t know if they have plans in reconstructing the west-bound bridge.
