Here are more new construction projects in the city beginning with the vertical expansion of Metrobank Corrales branch.
This branch was supposed to be the tallest building in Cagayan de Oro when it was constructed in the mid-90s but unfortunately, plans changed and only a 2-storey structure was erected.
Next is the vertical expansion of Prawn House Suites and Restaurant at Pueblo de Oro. Based on the photos below, I think they’re adding two more floors. This just shows that the city’s hotel industry is booming that even with the remote and interior location, such expansion is happening.
Just in the vicinity of Prawn House is another new commercial development as shown below.
Below is another new building being constructed along Masterson Avenue at the Masterson Mile fronting Xavier Estates.
Another 3-storey commercial building is rising along Gaabucayan Street.
Fronting Market City is another new yet small construction. I believe this is a spillover of the economic activities of the market cum terminal.
In Baloy, UKC is still expanding its facilities with this new construction below.
This site preparation activity below is in Kauswagan along the 3rd Bridge (Puntod-Kauswagan) Access Road. As shown, heavy equipment onsite implementing earthfilling works. On this area will rise Kauswagan National High School.
Also in Kauswagan is this new under construction very large warehouse. The entry road to the warehouse is currently being paved. This is just beside Gawad Kalinga Housing Site.
Lastly, below is a 2-storey commercial building also in Kauswagan just a few meters from the junction of 3rd Bridge Access Road and Pelaez Boulevard.
Just this morning, I passed by some new construction projects…and they just keep coming in. The cityscape is changing so fast.
