The Philippines first amphibious river and harbor tours is well underway with the Lighter Amphibian Resupply Cargo (LARC) V amphibious truck now currently undergoing a refit for river cruise duty. Photo above shows additional bulkheads made from marine grade aluminum being welded using a TIG spool in gun welding machine. A canopy will be installed over the passenger seating area.

According to Engr. Elpie Paras in his FB acount, the LARC V amphibian underwent engine overhaul. The bulkheads are to keep the passengers from getting wet and also the original configuration was made for cargo to be slid out in pallets, thus no sidings.

Sea trials are being targeted before the fiesta and if plans push thru, it could join in the Golden Float Parade this coming city fiesta.

They are now awaiting clearance from MARINA. Photo below shows the LARC V during its arrival.

Hopefully, this will be launched in September, another first for Cagayan de Oro.
