The Cagayan de Oro Port will soon have a P250 million 1,000-seating capacity modern passenger terminal building and is set to start construction in the 3rd quarter of this year. Also, more associated projects including paving of newly-completed back-up area of the port and other activities designed to further modernize the port.

When completed, the passengers of ferry boats will no longer go down to the pier area but will disembark through tubes and go directly to the terminal building.
