The Pelaez Group is mulling the transfer of their version of Night Café from Sunday-Monday to Friday-Saturday to coincide with the City Night Café. This was disclosed by City Mayor Vicente Emano during his weekly radio program.
The City Night Café will soon be relocated at Velez Extension or north of Rodelsa Circle (see illustration above) once concreting of Divisoria Roads is being undertaken by DPWH. This street will be closed to traffic and vehicles plying this route will have to detour to Tomas Saco then to Rodelsa Circle then to Kagay-an Bridge.
The Pelaez Group is currently holding their own version of Night Café during Sundays and Mondays at the Rodelsa Circle. However, latest complaints have gathered that the circumferential road is being utilized for parking, thereby resulting to more traffic in the area. Accordingly, instead of the Rodelsa Circle, the Rodelsa Night Café will be relocated to the south side or the road leasding to Bell Church. In this way, the Rodelsa Circle will be free of vending and other food stalls.
To ensure its success, local authorities should enforce rules on security, sanitation and traffic.
The relocation of Divisoria Night Café is only temporary and will return to its current site after the completion of DPWH works. Its final relocation is at the Golden Mile beside City Hall.
