Xavier University’s Carlo C. Miñon won the PalaECEpan quiz bee contest held recently at the SMX Convention Center over 42 other students in the event hosted by Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart).

It’s the second time that a student from Xavier became the quiz bee champion after XU’s Vyll Roxanie Tinampay won the 2006 PalaECEpan event.

PalaECEpan is the much-anticipated side activity of Smart’s annual SWEEP Innovation and Excellence Awards, a search for the best wireless applications developed by students, open exclusively to partner schools under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP).
