Jimmy Alapag made two 3-pointers in overtime as the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters whipped the Alaska Aces, 85-80, before a jampacked Xavier University Gym last Saturday, March 19.

Import Paul Harris led Talk ‘N Text with 23 points and a season high 27 rebounds for the Pangilinan-owned squad which squandered a won game in regulation.

LA Tenorio earlier hit a game-tying 3-pointer in the dying seconds in regulation to tie the count at 75-all. Alaska ended the regulation with a 13-5 run capped by Tenorio’s triple.

With the win Talk ‘N Text raised its record to 5-1 for second place behind idle Smart Gilas while Alaska fell to 4-2 in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Alaska sorely missed Joe Devance who limped off the court early in the first quarter after a collision with Ryan Reyes.

Local heroes Aaron Aban and Cyrus Baguio spoke to the crowd just before the game.
