Thousands of Cagayanons trooped to the opening of SaveMore’s second branch yesterday along Capistrano Street.
Situated along one of the main streets in downtown Cagayan de Oro, the new branch is much more accessible and convenient to shoppers and this was reflected yesterday by the throng of crowd who came in droves from 3:00pm up to late evening. Because the place is quite cramped and small, much of the crowd endured long lines from entrance to paying counters to exit.
As observed, the grocery occupies 2 levels with the wet market at the ground floor and dry goods in the second level. The 3rd-4th floors are still closed but believed to be storage areas. Escalators bring you to the upper floors but there’s also a side staircase for immediate purchases. There are also small commercial spaces inside which will soon be occupied by other business enterprises.
Aside from grocery items, SaveMore also accepts payment for bills on utilities, telecom, credit cards, insurance, real estate, cable and internet.
SaveMore is also set to open their third store in the city next month at the former Makro in Kauswagan.
