Here’s some more info on proposed hotel at Ayala’s commercial project development. As stated in the press release, the 150-room businessman’s hotel at Centrio will be of the Kukun brand and slated to be operational by 2nd quarter of 2012 or next year.

I got this info from the recent presentation during the Analysts Briefing held last February 11 which can be downloaded at the company website. Shown above is Slide 17 of the presentation which clearly indicates the boutique hotel projects of Ayala Land…with Cagayan de Oro encircled.

It’s the same brand of hotels with Taguig (BGC), Davao, Alabang, and Quezon City. Below is the 180-room Kukun Hotel in Taguig currently under construction which is quite similar in design.

Interestingly, on the same presentation, on Slide 15, the commercial development in Cagayan de Oro is referred to as “GATEWAY” as shown below. It will have a Gross Leasable Area of 45,000 square meters or roughly 4.5 hectares, which is the largest among the retail projects listed on the slide. Related info is that the entire development will have 70,000 square meters of Gross Floor Area within a 3.2 hectare property. Of course, from the 3.2 hectares, you can remove the area alloted for the driveways and setbacks from the roads as shown in the perspective of Centrio as well as the area at the rear portion bounded by the ABAP Boxing Gym.

Could it be that CENTRIO is the name of the entire mixed-use development and GATEWAY is the mall? I’m confused.
