BB. Pilipinas International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman recently visited Camaman-an Elementary School last January 25 to promote the Laki sa Gatas Nutrition Education Advocacy Program.
Launched by Nestle Philippines in 2006, the said program is aimed at pushing the relevance of the health campaign to address the prevailing malnutrition problem in the country, especially among children five years and below.
The program, which has grown to become an annual multi-pronged advocacy, was able to identify Camaman-an Elementary School as one of the most populated public schools in the city and their prevailing health concerns in close coordination with the Dept. of Education (DepED) 10.
In 2008, Quigaman became Nestle Philippines’ Laki sa Gatas advocate for Bear Brand Milk.
Bear Brand officials also conducted a short briefing on what the Laki sa Gatas campaign is all about.
Quigaman joined the children’s sessions of fun and educational activities that included story telling sessions and other exciting games at Camaman-an Elementary School.
One of these activities was called “Ambition Glasses” in which drawing of their ambitions in life are inserted around drinking glasses to serve as a reminder that they can achieve their dreams if they stay strong and healthy.
