Google Earth Map of 3rd Bridge Access Road connecting to Coastal By-Pass Road

Local dailies have shown Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Congressman Rufus Rodriguez with DPWH Regional Director Norma Gironella with the map of the 3rd Bridge Access Road as well as the Coastal By-Pass Road, originally labeled as Coastal Highway.

I tried to zoom in on the map as shown below.

I then plotted it on Google Earth with result below. Click the image for full size.

Then I tried to zoom in on the portions of the road which DPWH still has not implemented and shown below is the possible route between the CDO 3rd Bridge (Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge) and the Coastal By-Pass Road. Click image to see full size.

Based on the map with the billboard shown as the basis, the route cuts across private property just north of Limketkai’s Oil Mills or perhaps maybe traverses a portion of said property in a southeast direction then traverses Corrales Extension and continues further southeast near the Solid Shipiping Lines Complex. Then, it goes parallel with Gaabucayan Street before exiting near the mouth of Bitan-ag Creek where it connects to the Coastal By-Pass Road.

The western (Igpit-Bayabas) section of the 3rd Bridge Access Road can now be clearly seen on Google Earth and I plotted the new highway below.

I didn’t plot anymore the Coastal By-Pass Road since it just follows the shoreline with the end-point at Alvarez Property (formerly Aguilar School Foundation). The entire coastal highway based on the map terminates at the Puerto Junction and connects to Sayre Highway just below the proposed Puerto Flyover.

nagbinogok man ni engineers ani, kana intersection between julio pacana and new puntod-kauswagan bridge will have so much traffic in the future mark my words, do-ol ra kaayo sa bridge ang intersection, unta gihimo na nila na flyover from the bridge towards the LKKS-agora, pareho sa consolacion-burgos road, wala na unta sila nagtambak ug yuta para i-raise ang dalan, dili pa ma apiktohan ang trafic paingon pier

    That would be great.

I really hope this would be finished as soon as possible. It would be a big help to the drivers. Besides, it could also alleviate the traffic problems.
