Turquoise, a restaurant offering Turkish, Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern cuisine located at SM City has added a Shisha Corner at the Al Fresco area fronting Masterson Avenue.
If you’re wondering what’s a Shisha is, it’s tobacco sm0ked through a hookah or a waterpipe, a popular Indian smoking instrument in which the smoke is cooled and filtered by passing through water as shown below. Although it originated in India, it has gained popularity in the Arab world.
I think this will be the second commercial hookah in the city (contrary to the advertisement above). The first one is at Kofitricks Café at de Leon Plaza fronting City Central School. Kofitricks has a Hookah Lounge shown below.
But as they say, smoking is dangerous to your health…leave it to the smokers.
