ECO-TOURISM facilities consisting of four pavilions and 15 picnic shed were recently turned over to the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) of the Initao-Libertad Protected Landscape and Seascape.
The facilities were funded by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) through the initiative of Representative Yevgeny Vicente B. Emano (2nd district, Misamis Oriental).
Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Regional Executive Director Maximo O. Dichoso conveyed his acceptance speech during the turnover ceremony and thanked Emano for initiating the project.
Cerelina A. Chan, resident manager of the Gardens of Malasag Eco-Tourism Village, officially turned over the said facilities to RED Dichoso, as she expressed the importance of the additional facilities inside the Initao-Libertad Protected Landscape and Seascape.

During the turnover, Emano emphasized his full support to the province’s eco-tourism industry as he shared one of his advocacies, which is to develop and promote eco-tourism not only for foreign tourists but also for Filipinos.
“Wag maging dayuhan sa sariling bansa” was the gist of his keynote message.
During the turnover, Fr. Ricardo Pagatpatan led the blessing of the four pavilions and 15 picnic sheds.
