Atty. Isidro Q. Lico, became the sixth congressman from Misamis Oriental after being sworn in as representative for winning party-list Adhikaing Tinataguyod Ng Kooperatiba (ATING-KOOP).

Prior to being a congressman, Atty. Lico is Chairman of the Cooperative Bank of Misamis Oriental (CBMO), GASAKA Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GASAKA), Regional Cooperative Development Council Region 10 (RCDC10) and Mindanao Federation of Marketing Cooperatives (MFMC) and Secretary of Cooperative Life Insurance and Mutual Benefits Services (CLIMBS).

A native of Calape. Bohol, he graduated Valedictorian in both elementary and high school education and thereafter traveled to study at the Central Mindanao University (CMU) as a scholar where he graduated in 1971 with a degree in B.S. in Agriculture under the Honor’s Curriculum. While teaching part-time in the College of Agriculture of Xavier University (X.U.) and under the assistance of Father Masterson’s Institute of Market Analysis, he took further studies and graduated with a degree in Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics in the same university. His entry into the banking world came in 1974 when he served as Manager of the Rural Bank of Claveria Inc., at Claveria, Misamis Oriental. After a three (3) year stint as Manager, he went back to teaching full time at X.U. College of Agriculture where he became an Associate Professor. During his twelve (12) year stretch in teaching, he became active in cooperatives, and was elected Board Member of First Community Cooperative (FICCO) and Chairman of the Xavier Community Cooperative Store.

On October 16 to December 20, 1979, he was sent by Father Masterson to study in Israel and to attend the 4th International Cooperative Marketing of Agricultural Products. In addition, he has attended trainings and conferences both local and international, to name a few, his training in IDACA at Tokyo, Japan and Jakarta, Indonesia. Upon his return, and while still actively teaching, pursued a law education at the same university. He took the Bar exams in 1985 and while waiting for the results, he was elected Chairman of the Cooperative Rural Bank of Misamis Oriental (CRBMO). He became a bona fide lawyer in 1986 and opened his private practice while still very much involved in cooperatives.
